Emma McNerlin

I am UK trained and registered Midwife living in Bangkok since 2014 with my husband and son. I’m originally from Northern Ireland. I completed my midwifery training at University of West London and prior to moving to Bangkok I worked in a busy government hospital just outside London in a range of midwifery roles, from prenatal, labour and birth, postnatal care and lactation support.
I have completed further study in advanced holistic midwifery at The Farm Midwifery centre in Tennessee with Ina May Gaskin. I am also a registered Mongan Method Hypnobirthing practitioner.

Since arriving in Bangkok I used my skills and experiences as a midwife by volunteering for BAMBI (Bangkok Mothers and Babies International) as the Bumps and Babies coordinator. Here I have supported pregnant and new mums and their partners with advice, information and support in navigating pregnancy and birth in Bangkok, and regularly contribute pregnancy related articles to the BAMBI News Magazine. I look forward to supporting you at The Best Beginning soon, where I will be teaching Childbirth and Parentcraft education as well as offering Hypnobirthing courses.

Vololona Webert

My name is Vololona Webert. I am French, but had the chance to grow up in several countries. For the past two years I have been living in Bangkok and I am happy to be sharing this expat journey as an adult with my own family.

I was trained as a General Practitioner in France. I worked there for three years before I moved to the Philippines, where I was able to do volunteer work, raised two beautiful daughters and enjoy my passion for the underwater world.

My move to Bangkok in 2016 was a good time for me to focus again on what I really like: Healthcare and helping others. Which is why I have decided to train as a lactation consultant (I.B.C.L.C.). My personal experience of breastfeeding added to my medical professional background lead me to discover this new great new field of activity. I am also a certified Emergency First Response Instructor.

I look forward to seeing you soon at The Best Beginning, where I will be able to share my knowledge in pre-and-postnatal care during consultations and classes.

Makhasiri Budlerd (March)

I have been working with young children more than 10 years now, on a variety of informal and formal education projects. I am enthusiastic and passionate for teaching young children in active activities through the children songs and some art crafts.

As a mother, I have a wonderful time to raise my little one with my work experiences in Playing activities because I believed in the concept of “Learning by doing” because young children will learn and develop their physical, cognitive, and emotional strength through playing.

Engaging young children to keep their attention on each activity is easy when you know how. It can be difficult at first (believe me I know!)  If you are having fun with all active plays, the young children are having fun too!

I’m looking forward to seeing you at The Best Beginning, where I will be able to share my tips and knowledge how to play with your little one.

Rachanee Paosuwan (Ple)

Yoga have been a part of my life since 2005, ever since I fell in love with the inner peace and silence it has brought me in a rather hectic life. Blessed that through Prayanama, I managed to built my awareness and consciousness, I soon started to feel the desire to share this with others as well.

I started teaching yoga classes on a regular basis with a studio in Bangkok from 2009 – 2014 and again for a pre- and post natal yoga course 4 years ago. I have also been an instructor with 2 other studio’s in Bangkok for the past two years on a pre- and postnatal teacher training program. Last year I enrolled into the training program with Birthlight Yoga in Cambridge, United Kingdom where I attended and completed Aquanatal Yoga Level 1 & 2.

Needless to say, throughout the years, I have developed a very strong passion and commitment to the journey of motherhood through yoga in all its facets and stages. I strive to continue to be part of my students life during their pregnancy and guide them, support them and take them by the hand through the wonders of yoga. I just never fail to feel a sense of pride to see women become mothers and to continue to see them grow, together with their newborns, in a next chapter of life.
